He has an extensive experience of over 22 years across investment banking and management consulting. Rajeev has led many successful private equity, structured finance, M&A and sale transactions cumulatively worth over USD 3 bn during his career. During his past stint as a management consultant, he consulted various government clients; domestic and multinational corporates in their expansion, diversification and India entry strategies leading to cumulative investments worth over USD 5 bn across multiple sectors in India.
Rajeev is widely acknowledged to be a thought leader in the Indian Real Estate Industry. He has been a speaker for many years in various Industry conferences being organized by RICS and other Industry bodies in India. In the past, he has contributed many independent articles in print media and is often sought after by journalists to share his opinion with wider audience on a variety of contemporary industry issues through print, television and digital media platforms.
Prior to Shearwater, Rajeev led Knight Frank Capital Markets business in India. He was also a member of Knight Frank India Executive Committee. During his tenure with Knight Frank, he is credited to have successfully set-up its Capital Markets business in India while also turning around its ailing regional business operations in North India.
In the past, Rajeev served as a key member of the DTZ (now C&W, India) Executive Leadership team where he successfully built and expanded its Investment Advisory and Consulting capabilities. Rajeev has also worked at key positions with Reliance Industries, E&Y and Bharti Enterprises, where he led the corporate finance team for a mega joint venture transaction with Walmart. He also served as a member of Bharti-Walmart Real Estate Investment committee.
